Dr Satyadas performed a laparoscopic surgery to fix my inguinal hernia two weeks ago. I cycled a reasonably fast 22 miles today both in and out of the saddle with no pain at all. It was as if I’d never been off the bike. I was walking pain free a couple of days after the surgery for 30 mins. I’m pretty amazed at how quickly I’ve recovered. I have also learned from Dr Satyadas what was the likely cause of the hernia (incorrect use of dumbbells) and how to avoid it in future. I can’t recommend him highly enough. A great surgeon and a lovely guy.

I received outstanding care which I experienced holistic, with a 'whole person' approach. Alongside this the expertise and skill before, during and after the operation with Mr Satyadas cultivated a sense of trust.

I feel fortunate in not having any hospital treatment during the last seventy years, however, it did make me feel very anxious and nervous at the thought of a bilateral hernia operation - I needn't have had any concerns! The calm and reassuring manner of Mr Thomas Satyadas always put my mind at rest. Whether it was the initial consultation, the morning of the operation or the aftercare he always had time to listen, explain and instil confidence. I was looked after by an excellent team of nurses and staff and if you are lucky enough to be referred to Mr Thomas Satyadas or able to choose him for your operation you are in very safe hands.

Mr Satyadas diagnosed and operated on me for a form of cancer that is aggressive and difficult to treat. He was straightforward, empathetic and approachable throughout my treatment. He is one of the lead surgeons in the so called MDT Group at Manchester Royal. Throughout I felt confident in being cared for. His reputation as a prominent - perhaps the prominent - surgeon for my form of cancer was a great reassurance and comfort to me. He was obviously delighted that against the odds my cancer had not spread to other organs and on my discharge from his care I feel optimistic and grateful as I embark on a course of chemotherapy.

Mr. Satyadas is simply amazing! In May 2021 I underwent major surgery spending a total of (25 days) in hospital and from the initial consultation through to recovery his care and compassion were so evident. In January 2022 I needed surgery on several Hernis's which had originally appeared prior to my major surgery. Mr. Satyadas had planned my schedule of care throughout my health journey to ensure that the procedures were coordinated at appropriate junctures. He kept in touch with my family involving us all in the planning of my care. Any questions I had were patiently and precisely explained including some issues that arose regarding previous NHS blood tests which were technically not in his remit but as ever he was keen to reassure and provide an holistic approach to patient care. Following surgery he regularly visited to check that I was feeling ok and making progress. I am now on the way to resuming 'normal life' and cannot find the words to adequately express my thanks to Mr. Satyadas for his exemplary care and compassion to myself and my family from my first meeting with him in February 2021 throughout .
